Studio Setup
During an organised studio setup at school, I, among many other students, were given the privilege to experiment with lighting and its setup to create different effects upon a set subject. When moving the lighting, it is evident that at certain angles of light, a warm toned subject is seen and so it creates a calm and peaceful effect, in comparison to when the angle of light presents you with a cold toned subject. In such a situation, the subject may appear spooky, or create a suspicious ambiance.

Football
A few months ago I went to a stadium tour with my brother and took a few pictures of the stadium. Some of these images looked really blurry and out of focus whereas some appeared clear and were of a good exposure. These images also show my experimentation of different focal points, which makes the same scene look completely different by focusing on a different aspect of the scene in front of you.

Rankin Style
From November through till December of 2014, I have been working on an artist research study for a photographer called Rankin. I have studied the style in which Rankin likes to takes photographs in and have experimented by taking a few shots of my own in his style. I have been able to create four final pieces for this artist research study and have had many more ideas and inspirations come to me as an advantage to this study. Landscapes
There have been a plenty of occasions where I have been able to take wondrous images of the sky and the natural worldly beauty of the landscape around us. Many images that may appear to look perfectly exposed are actually just taken by chance due On a recent trip to Scotland i took many photos of the eye catching landscapes. There have been a plenty of occasions where I have been able to take wondrous images of the sky and the natural worldly beauty of the landscape around us. Many images that may appear to look perfectly exposed are actually just taken by chance due to the inability to change the components in the exposure triangle as standard digital cameras do not have such features.

Animals
Animals are the best to take a perfect picture of, especially when you go to a safari park! A few weeks back i went to a safari park with my family and thought it would be perfect to take a few clicks of the animals, so that is what I did. I took different pictures of different animals for example tigers, penguins, monkeys, zebras. i took these photos with my phone as I did not have a camera. However these photos came out perfect. A recent trip to Africa last year i went to a park were there was elephants and giraffes. as you can see the last picture is a giraffe kissing a women so i thought why not take a picture! |
Flowers
My study of flowers has been continuous over the course of my photographic journey; one of my first photographs that I took was of a flower and I have significantly improved the way in which I capture this type of subject. Although they look similar, are slightly different as on each occasion, I experimented with a different aspect of the exposure triangle and altered it to suit a different scene. For example, some of these images were taken on a dark and cloudy day, and so I had to increase the ISO Sensitivity, widen the Aperture and slow down the Shutter Speed slightly. However, I had to make sure that I didn't increase these aspects too much as then the image would be over-exposed as well as being very grainy. |
